Surrey falls slightly behind other counties in the education oflooked-after children and the cash will help them to improve educationalattainment.
Looked-after children will receive additional tutoring support at anestimated cost of 40,000. There will also be an increase in theeducation maintenance allowance for children in care to encourage themto stay in education at a cost of 30,000.
Outside of school the final 50,000 will go towards drivinglessons for looked-after children and improved access to education,training, employment and leisure.
