62.5% of young people leaving care aged 16 or over with at least oneGCSE or GNVQ (42.1 per cent in Wales)

3.7% of looked-after children with three or more placements during2004/05 (10.5 per cent in Wales)

The latest Social Services Inspectorate for Wales' inspection of Conwyreports improvements in the quality of reviews for looked-afterchildren, thanks to the use of two independent reviewing officers. Butit said the council must improve the proportion of first placements oflooked-after children where a care plan is in place.
