- 410 per week gross weekly expenditure on children in fostercare in 2004/05 (344 per week in Wales)
The last inspection of Caerphilly's children's services by the SocialServices Inspectorate for Wales, published this year, said the authorityhad established good referral networks with other agencies. Inspectorsalso said there were good examples of inter-agency working to protectchildren. But it said the quality of both initial and core assessmentsvaried greatly.
