NCB NOW: Study calls for more child-centred care

A report containing proposals for a more child-centred care system will be launched this week at a London conference.

Start with the child, stay with the child describes the findings of a project run by Voice For The Child In Care and Children's Residential Care Unit to find ways of improving the system in England. The Blueprint project worked with children, professionals and researchers over an 18-month period.

The conference, which takes place on 19 February at the Museum of London, will reflect Blueprint's partnership approach, with an equal number of adults and young people attending. The event will be attended by Hilton Dawson MP, co-chair of the all-party Parliamentary group for children.
