NCB NOW: Improving education for children in care

Findings from a research and development project exploring the education of young people in care will be launched at an NCB conference this month.

NCB's Taking Care of Education project was developed in 2000 in response to a number of research studies commenting on the poor educational performance of young people looked after by local authorities.

With assistance from the Gatsby Charitable Foundation, NCB worked with Derby, Harrow and Portsmouth local authorities, supporting their efforts to improve education for children in care. Speakers will share their experiences of the project at the conference, How to improve the education of looked after children, on Wednesday 31 March.

- To book, contact Natasha Din-Gabisi on 020 7843 6441 or at ndin-gabisi@ncb.org.uk.
