NCB NOW: Course focuses on disability legislation

The Sure Start Unit has commissioned NCB to repeat its training course on the implications of disability legislation for early years practitioners.

NCB's Early Childhood Unit and the Council for Disabled Children will hold regional seminars on the Special Educational Needs and Disability Act 2001 and the Disability Discrimination Act 1995.

The events will include workshops on risk management, inclusive play and developing childcare strategies. Participants will also receive a booklet produced by NCB, the Council and Sure Start.

Getting it right from the start takes place in Leeds on 9 March; London on 15 March and Liverpool on 2 April.
