It is run by Hackney Council's 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games Unit and funded through the borough's local strategic partnership.
What happened? More than 400 pupils aged nine to 11 recorded their best scores in discus, javelin, shot put, long jump, triple jump and speed bounce. The event at Hackney Downs Park was aimed at pupils who had shown the most improvement in their scores during the training programme this year.
Who were the winners? The gold trophy was won by the Whitmore Primary School team, while Horizon Special School finished second and Holmleigh Primary School third.
Hackney's Paralympic swimmer Dervis Konuralp, who attended the event to cheer the children on, says: "Sport is so accessible for children of all abilities and is another means of achievement for them. It has helped me so much and I hope it can do the same for other young people."
