Inspections: Ofsted gives Plymouth poor rating

1 min read

Inspectors criticised the evaluation of projects, a lack of focus on outcomes in some sessions, and poor record keeping that made planning future projects difficult.Youth work in Plymouth is delivered by seven teams, two of which are run centrally, and five of which are devolved to community colleges. The report is one of five enhanced youth inspections published this week, alongside Joint Area Reviews of childrens services. Wigan, Kingston upon Thames, and Buckinghamshire were all rated good, and Sheffield was rated as adequate.

Sheffield City Council has contracted out its youth work provision to Sheffield Futures, a limited company and charity.
