HONOURS: Youth work gets rewarded by Queen

Deryk Mead, chief executive of children and young people's charity NCH, was made a CBE, while Peter Boyle, county director at BABC Clubs for Young People, in Buckinghamshire, becomes an OBE.

Already an MBE, Susan Campbell, the chief executive of the Youth Sports Trust, was made a CBE.

Margaret Mary Kelly, director of youth affairs at Crime Concern, received an MBE.
