Apparently, our brand-new people carrier is ready to be stickered up and delivered. I say people carrier, but actually a more accurate description would be "van with windows".

But this isn't just any old van with windows. It's a van with windows that I can drive. Like increasing numbers of people, I passed my driving test after 1997, which means I can't drive a minibus without taking a further test. And like a lot of other things, this is something I haven't yet got around to.

But now a new generation of youth workers can experience first hand the delights of driving groups of young people around. I've been a passenger often enough, so I've a good idea of what to expect. And although I would like to think things will be different when I'm behind the wheel, I imagine it's only a matter of time before someone moons out of the window of my people carrier.
