I'm really looking forward to Wednesday. I'm meeting up with an ex-colleague for coffee. I've known Chris for years; we used to work together on a lot of health promotion projects. In fact, he was my boss when I first arrived in Essex. But I try not to hold that against him. Then six months ago he went and got himself a new job. And that was that.
He's not the only one to have moved onwards and upwards this year. I've already said farewell to some really good colleagues, and as we finally reach the last few weeks of the summer term, it's wall-to-wall leaving parties and buffets. It seems that July is definitely the month to move.
