If you've ever worked in a youth club you'll know there are two things you don't mess with. One is the pool table. I've only ever played 30 minutes of pool in my life. And that was 25 minutes too many. But the tables are not for moving. However hard you might try.

The other is the coffee bar. With its rows of chocolate bars, 10-pence crisps and fizzy drinks, most coffee bars haven't changed that much in years. And it shows. Cafe culture has definitely not arrived quite yet.

But with the media packed full of stuff about young people's deteriorating diet and increasing obesity levels, now could be the time to take on the coffee bar. Yes, I'm thinking the unthinkable. Banning chocolate.
