What do you do? My days vary widely, from being office-based and dealing with enquiries, to visiting projects to meet young people and learning officers to find out what they are working on and what their progress is so far. Through this I am able to get an insight into what young people are learning, how the project is progressing and what it is focusing on, which I will then disseminate to other organisations and the media.

What got you the job? I have a degree in history and archaeology and a postgraduate degree in broadcast journalism. But the main quality that you need when working with young people is a great deal of enthusiasm and the ability to tap in to their interests.
