Places to Go: Bristol

1 min read Youth Work
The city may be best known for the landmark Clifton Suspension Bridge, but Bristol also has a wide variety of arts, wildlife and historical attractions for young people.

For youth groups who want to find out how their ancestors would have travelled, historic trains will run from Bitton Railway Station during February half term. Those who prefer to go by water can take a ferry trip around the harbour. A visit to Brunel's SS Great Britain, the world's first ocean-going, propeller-driven iron ship, will show what life was like for her Victorian crew and passengers.

The Blue Reef Aquarium is located on the harbour side and features a coral reef complete with exotic marine life such as angelfish and zebra sharks, while Bristol Zoo Gardens houses more than 450 different species over its 12-acre site.
