Activity Ideas: Places to go - The Isle of Wight

1 min read Youth Work
The Isle of Wight boasts an impressive array of historical monuments and leisure activities.

Robin Hill Countryside Adventure Park is set in 88 acres of woodland and has theme park rides, a falconry and wildlife and nature walks. The park reopens on 30 March.

Meanwhile, Blackgang Chine was once the stomping ground of fishermen and smugglers and now provides a cliff-top park with a high-speed water ride. For animal lovers, there's a chance to experience real life on a working farm at Branston Farm or visit the Isle of Wight Zoo, which is world-renowned for its collection of exotic tigers.

About half of the island is designated as an area of outstanding natural beauty, including the whole of the Heritage Coast, which makes it perfect for walking trips and even a spot of fossil hunting. For those feeling more energetic, the island also has top-rated schools for sailing, surfing and kayaking.
