The scope of a revised strategy for youth services is outlined in the terms of reference for the review, published by Treasury minister Ed Balls and education minister Lord Adonis to coincide with the launch (YPN, 5-11 July, p3).
The strategy for youth services, one of the three main strands of the review, aims to identify "longer-term policy directions" to improve young people's life chances.
The review will examine the current distribution of youth services across the country, determine what principles and priorities should guide the allocation of resources and what measures need to be put in place to monitor local service delivery.
