Workplace: Who's in your meetings? - Rebecca Price, extended schools co-ordinator, Clapham Park Project, London

1 min read
What exactly do you do? The Clapham Park Project has been given task of regenerating the Clapham Park Estate, the London Borough of Lambeth's New Deal for Communities neighbourhood.

I am based in the project's Community Education Zone office, but I spend a lot of time at Richard Atkins Primary School where I run a reading club. I am in the process of setting up a range of projects, including a school magazine, lunchtime clubs, workshops and parent surgeries. I am also involved in the primary to secondary admission process.

Describe a typical day. It may consist of a meeting with the rest of the Community Education Zone team, organising and delivering the reading club, or liaising with teachers and parents for all aspects of my work, including the parents committee, and after-school and lunchtime provision.
