1 min read
What do you do? My job is to broker the relationship between the school and other organisations. A lot of this involves making sure life is easier for agencies, from ensuring rooms are free, recruiting people to go on courses run from the school, and consulting with the community to make sure we're putting on the courses people want.

What was the highlight of the past week? Helping some children to knocktheir knees rhythmically. I've helped set up a Let's Make Music groupfor pre-school children and their parents in the local community centre.I also helped organise an event to promote our genetic counsellingservice, for children and families diagnosed with a genetic disorder, toprofessionals from health visitors to childcare workers and educationalpsychiatrists.

What is the most rewarding aspect of your job? Linking people togetherand seeing something happen as a result, such as new services, a betterworking relationship or as simple as a parent getting on well with atutor and engaging in learning.
