On the sports programme, I organise training days with people on the ground such as local authorities that act as local project co-ordinators. I also organise the Come and Play programme, which provides musicians for primary school age children.
Describe a typical day. I deal with bookings for the tutor training days and attend training days. We work with the British Heart Foundation on the project, so the two foundation representatives give expert input on physical activity, and I do the same on childcare.
What other agencies, and who else within your own organisation, do you have to work with? As part of organising the tutor training days, I liaise with primary care trusts, local authorities, sports coaches and after-school clubs. I support our programme manager and our arts development manager. I also work closely with the heart foundation's young people's project co-ordinator and Youth Music, which supports Come and Play.
