1 min read
What do you do? My job is divided into three parts - clinical work with parents and young people; supervision, advice and support to school nurses and health visitors; and training and developing innovative practices for young people.

What was the highlight of the past week? A monthly meeting I run forprofessionals called Going Mad (making a difference) Together in2006.

The last meeting was on the effect of homophobia and bullying on youngpeople's mental health.

What is the most rewarding aspect of your job? Seeing the improvement inyoung people. Also motivating other professionals to remove the stigmaaround mental health and to improve the emotional and mental health ofyoung people.

What is the toughest decision you have had to make? Limiting the amountof clinical work I do because of time factors. I like seeing youngpeople, but I have to limit the number of cases I take.
