Workforce Reform: NCB chief named as reform panel chair

Ennals will be responsible for getting the Children, Young People and Families Workforce Council for England running. The voluntary youth sector and Connexions are among organisations represented on the panel.

"The council needs to decide on a permanent structure and also needs to start bringing together the children and young people's profession," said Ennals, who will continue as interim chair until April 2005.

The council will be one of five panels to feed into the proposed Social Care, Children and Young People Sector Skills Council (YPN, 11-17 February, p8).
