Charity One Parent Families/Gingerbread has appointed Fiona Weir as chief executive. Weir previously worked for the charity Save the Children as director of policy and communications. Prior to that, she worked as head of public affairs at the Consumers' Association and director of campaigns at Amnesty International. Weir replaces Chris Pond who has moved to the Financial Services Authority.
Care provider Castlebeck has made five new appointments. Dale Lawrence has been made consultant psychiatrist, while Sue Browell has joined as human resources director, Ashley Thompson as regulatory compliance manager, Jacquie Owen as service manager for neurological behaviour services and Dawn Shaefer as head of communications.
