Marriott joins the trust from Nottinghamshire County Council where he worked as assistant director of children's services. Before that, Marriott was a head teacher and a geography teacher. His new role will involve working closely with commissioners to expand the charity's services.
Warwickshire Association of Youth Clubs has recruited Ruth Noble as fundraiser and Abigail King as trainee fundraiser and marketing assistant. Noble previously worked at Mencap as a fundraiser and King is a recent University of Exeter graduate. The association represents 90 youth clubs that work with young people in Solihull, Warwickshire and Coventry.
The Children's Workforce Development Council has streamlined its board to eight people following a review. Dorit Braun, Howard Cooper, Jane Held and Nigel Pursey have joined as board members. Michael Leadbetter (pictured) continues as chair and Jane Haywood as chief executive. Leadbetter was director of social services in Tameside and in Essex for 17 years.
