Debbie Kerslake has been appointed chief executive and director of services of the charity Cruse Bereavement Care. Kerslake has spent the past eight years managing training and development at the organisation, and will replace Anne Viney, who retires in April.
Lifelong Learning UK, the skills council for the development of professionals who work in community learning, has appointed Gina Lane as director of young people for England. Lane was formerly director of the Museums, Libraries and Archives Council.
Christian youth charity Urban Saints has recruited two team members to work at its headquarters in Luton. Bill Hebner is the new emerging leaders manager and Philip Roethenbaugh is the new fundraising director.
The Rural Youth Network has elected three new executive trustees. Paul Napthine is rural community development worker for Surrey Community Action. He was previously a relational youth worker at a secondary school and an involving young people co-ordinator for Connexions. Helen Jones is Gloucestershire Youth Service's team leader for the Cotswolds. She also leads a multi-lateral youth exchange programme between Europe and the Cotswolds. Steven Pryse is youth participation development officer for the National Council for Voluntary Youth Services. He used to work for Exposure, a voluntary youth media organisation.
