Work Wise: This week's movers

Judith Parke has been recruited as project director of the National Literacy Trust's programme for disadvantaged children, Reading is Fundamental.

Parke was previously head of Cafod's community fundraising team and is the chair of the Ai-Kameli Trust, an educational support charity for children in East Timor.

Youth development charity, The British Schools Exploring Society, has appointed Conrad Dickinson as patron. Dickinson is a renowned polar explorer with a special interest in engaging young people with science fieldwork and conservation.

Pam Harris has been appointed as young people's counselling co-ordinator at Christian counselling charity WCHM Sycamore in Essex. Harris used to work as a counsellor at a private practice, at the Terrence Higgins Trust, at the youth enquiry service in Colchester, and as a youth worker for the YMCA.
