The National Association of Head Teachers' (NAHT) national council member, Chris Harrison, has been elected as president of the European School Heads Association (ESHA).

Harrison used to chair NAHT's international committee and is the first-ever primary school teacher to head up ESHA.

Mary Duff has taken over from John Fassenfelt as chair of the Youth Courts Committee of the Magistrates' Association. Duff has been a magistrate for 14 years, working predominantly in youth courts, and is also chair of the youth panel for South Cambridgeshire. She began her career as a teacher before going on to work as an education officer for local authorities in London and rural counties.

 

 

Richmond Youth Partnership has appointed Dr Fin Cullen and Richard Campbell to share the post of youth cafes manager, which will make them responsible for its youth cafe projects. Cullen is a lecturer in youth work and a practicing youth worker, while Campbell is a qualified youth and drugs outreach worker.
