Work Wise: Funding briefs

Third sector organisations are being invited to apply for grants of between 10,000 and 500,000 as part of the Big Lottery Fund's research programme, which will finance studies into health and social wellbeing. www.bigresearchprogramme.org.uk

Disability Snow Sport UK and Able 2 Sail are among 13 organisations to benefit from over £1m from the Scottish Big Lottery Fund. The money will be used to help young people with disabilities take part in outdoors activities.

The Co-operative Street Games Volunteering Programme has received more than £200,000 from youth volunteering charity v.

Four play organisations, including The Eden Project, have been awarded £750,000 to create play spaces as part of the Big Lottery Fund's Playful Ideas programme.
