Work Wise: Funding briefs

Autism charity Treehouse received 80,000 from ITV and the Big Lottery Fund's competition The People's Millions. It will provide an outdoor space for autistic children.

The Northern Rock Foundation has announced a grants budget of £7m for 2008. There will be funding for community organisations, such as those working with carers and disadvantaged young people.

Grant making body The Esmee Fairbairn Foundation publishes new guidelines in January 2008. The body gives grants for arts, education, environment and social change projects. www.esmeefairbairn.org.uk

The Co-operative Bank has awarded £44,000 to 49 community groups, through its Customer Donation Fund. One of the organisations benefiting will help autistic children get involved with art.
