The National Youth Agency: What's changed

1 min read
What's Changed is a tool for groups to record the outcomes of participation by young people. In this occasional column we summarise an example of how young people have brought about change.

Organisation: EEFO

Issue: Improving access to local sexual health services.

The situation: The EEFO Programme seeks to address barriers identified by national and local research which prohibit young people from accessing the services that they need. EEFO is responsible for implementing the EEFO quality standards which demonstrate organisations are providing a young person-friendly service. Young people trained to become young assessors went on to evaluate a sample of EEFO-approved services offering sexual health provision.

What children and young people said: "This project not only benefits all young people in Cornwall by improving sexual health provision but also it has benefited me because I now have the confidence to access these types of services myself."
