The latest issue of NSF Dialogue, the programme's regular newsletter, has recently been published. This edition highlights examples of accreditation gained by young people involved in the scheme. For many of them, it is the first time their achievements have been recognised. Their involvement with NSF projects, therefore, leads not only to qualifications but to increased self-esteem and life skills. Since April 2002, more than 7,000 awards recognising achievement ranging from internal project awards to Gold Duke of Edinburgh Awards, GCSEs and NVQs have been awarded to young people involved in the initiative. NSF Dialogue celebrates this and describes how the programme fits into the Government's Five Year Strategy for Children and Learners.
