The alternative to school programme works with two groups of young people for two days a week for a full academic year, in association with local secondary schools. Activities include group work, life skills, literacy and numeracy support, computer skills and multimedia options including film making and web design. Watersports is also a key element of the programme with young people accessing a range of accredited activities, such as powerboat driving, kayaking and canoeing.
