Neighbourhood Support Fund - Emmanuel Youth Project
Location: Newham
The Project: The young parents' support programme offers social activities, accredited learning and individual personal development plans for up to 60 young parents a year. Peer support is used as a key method of engagement, with project participants able to share experiences and local knowledge to help others in the group.
Many young people have real concerns about giving birth and its aftermath which can be alleviated by mentoring support.
