Torbay Council runs one children's home, which cares for up to five children aged nine to 14. The Children's Society runs a children's rights service in Torbay. This provides a trained volunteer to visit, support and befriend young people, aged eight to 17, who are in the care of Torbay social services and who have little or no contact with their parent or guardian.
