12% of looked-after children are in care due to a disability (four per cent in England)
33% of looked-after children under 10 are placed for adoption (19 per cent in England)
44% of care leavers in education, training or employment (54 per cent in England)
Oxfordshire's adoption service has been praised by the Social Services Inspectorate. Placements for looked-after children gained five out of five stars, while fostering and adoption services were awarded four. It said overall children's services was an "acceptably performing" department.
Of its 18 performance indicators, seven were good or very good and only two were of a poor standard.
