Social Care News: Help from ... The Child - Psychotherapy Trust

The trust aims to improve the lives of emotionally damaged children by increasing their access to effective child and adolescent psychotherapy services.

Set up in 1987 to raise funds for the training of child psychotherapists at a time where there were very few in the NHS, it also publishes documents for professionals about training and commissioning and supports child psychotherapy projects.

It produces leaflets for parents and carers about children's emotional health and development, including crying and sleeping, sibling rivalry, divorce and separation, bereavement and post-natal depression.

Last year, the trust piloted online child psychotherapy consultations.
