From the start of April, Bedfordshire County Council ceased to exist following a local government shake-up, which saw its councils merged to form two authorities, Bedford Borough and Central Bedfordshire.
But before the restructure the council was making significant strides in ensuring its looked-after young people moved into suitable accommodation once they left the authority's care.
