Seacroft Children's Centre, Leeds

1 min read Early Years
What have they done? Seacroft Children's Centre was judged as outstanding following an inspection by Ofsted in September.

The centre is in one of the most disadvantaged areas of Leeds and received the highest possible score in every category from the watchdog's inspectors. The centre's early years provision and family outreach workers were described as exemplary. The inspectors also commended the centre's safeguarding practices.

What did the report find? "The welcoming and highly effective children's centre understands and serves the needs of its community extremely well," the inspectors say. "Through the exceptional support, commitment and dedication of the high-quality centre staff and services, the life chances of parents, carers and children from the most disadvantaged communities have dramatically improved. Children and families make excellent progress in all outcomes, while facing the most challenging of circumstances."
