Background
Bligh Sure Start Children's Centre in Medway, Kent, was in the first wave of children's centres to be created and is now in its seventh year. Like other children's centres in Medway, it is based on a school site and forms part of The Bligh Federation with Bligh Infant and Junior schools. It was inspected by Ofsted at the end of June and was the first in the country to gain an "outstanding" rating following the introduction of a tougher inspection regime in May 2013.
