Ryan Jay, 17, Ipswich

When I was 15, a friend and I realised that there was very little for young people to do in our area outside of school. We asked the local Gainsborough library if we could use their meeting room to host a youth club -- Club 4 Teenz.

Two years later and around 25 young people visit our club every week. It provides a place for us to socialise and learn skills.

In 2010, with support from Media Trust's Community Voices scheme, we purchased cameras and received training to produce a film called Proud to be... IP3.

With this film, we aim to challenge the negative perceptions of young people in Ipswich.

This year, I'm looking forward to the launch of a new project called Teenz Safe, which will teach young people about how to stay safe.
