What will it support? Work with those who are victims of recent or historical sexual abuse, including children, vulnerable people such as those with learning difficulties and sex workers, those who have been trafficked into sexual exploitation, victims of stalkers, and women who have been genitally mutilated. The emphasis will be on maintaining or extending existing initiatives rather than setting up new projects, and preference will go to those providing direct services such as counselling, group work, advocacy and helplines. There will need to be evidence of a high level of need for the service and priority will also go to groups that can show both value for money - and thus evidence of monitoring and evaluation of outcomes - and a link to government initiatives and policy. Funding can be used for capital or revenue expenditure, and core costs such as overheads and management costs can be claimed up to a maximum of 20 per cent of the total budget.
