What does it fund? This is a generalist trust with a wide range of interests.

Its main broad categories are health and disability, social welfare with disadvantaged children and young people as one of three focus areas, and conservation. For each of these areas there are a range of particular themes and concerns that can be found on the trust web site. For example, under the social welfare category, the trust is looking to support organisations that encourage the sharing of good ideas and collaborative work with other charities, the encouragement of and motivation towards self-help and self-sufficiency, the employment and training of a broad base of volunteers and ones that make practical improvement in the day-to-day quality of life of beneficiaries.
