These include social and ethnic minority groups, including young people at risk of exclusion, refugees, asylum seekers and Travellers. Prisons are also on the agenda, with emphasis on providing assistance after release and helping families of offenders and ex-offenders. Other priorities include addiction, such as projects tackling the social exclusion elements and preventive programmes, homelessness, especially affecting young people and women, and people experiencing domestic violence. There are three further categories that may also be considered: disability, local arts outreach work, and distinctive environmental education projects. Funding is generally for on-off projects, although some core funding may be considered.
