What does it support? Since 2003, it has been making awards in four broad categories: the relief of need, in particular poverty, disability and disadvantage; education and training; culture and religion; and where there is a historical link with The Drapers' Company, particularly projects in Draperstown, Northern Ireland. It specifically welcomes educational projects with socially excluded young people aged under 25 in "inner-city areas such as London, Birmingham and Liverpool". Grants must not replace statutory funding and may go towards equipment, training and other needs, including contributions towards core costs.
