Resources: Funding Focus - Rural Development Small Award Fund

1 min read

What will it fund? The aim is to supply one-off grants for activities including project planning, maximising community involvement, capacity building, consultation exercises and other ways of gathering local ideas.

The fund can be used to provide for a range of different activities or small capital items - the main requirement is that applications must demonstrate a clear need and that the project must make a real contribution towards community consultation, needs assessment or project-planning activities.

Applicants are encouraged to be creative when considering what their community requires.

Who will it fund? Properly constituted community groups or not-for-profit organisations in rural areas of Scotland, which means settlements of less than 3,000 people.
