Reflection of Change: Centre designed by parents opens in Manchester

A child explores one of the playrooms at Sure Start Longsight in Manchester, which has opened its new family and children's centre.

The centre, which was designed with the help of local parents, includes a nursery, soft play area, IT suite and health services such as baby massage.

It is managed by The Big Life Company, part of The Big Life Group, a collection of social businesses and charities. Manchester's Lord Mayor, Tom O'Callaghan, and Gerald Kaufman, Labour MP for Manchester Gorton, attended the centre's special opening event.
