1 min read
A stay-and-play session and a "baby chimes" group are among the services on offer at the Sea Breeze Children's Centre, which opened its doors in Felixstowe last month.

The centre will also offer a childminding network, child and family health services and parental outreach. The centre has so far provided jobs for four people.

Liberty chief executive and chancellor of Oxford Brookes University Shami Chakrabarti has opened a children's centre in Grandpont Nursery School in Oxford. The centre boasts an innovative design, which was produced by local craftsmen and scoped by architects and lecturers at the university.

Melton Mowbray in Leicestershire has a brand new £500,000 children's centre. A circus skills workshop, pumpkin-carving and mini fire engine rides accompanied its opening ceremony on 27 October. The open day also demonstrated the services on offer, which will also be available in schools, churches and community centres.
