The six-month Parliamentary Experience Programme, organised by the Hindu Forum of Britain, aims to enable 18- to 25-year-olds to explore politics.
Ramesh Kallidai, secretary general of the forum, said: "The idea is to encourage young people to engage in local politics." There are currently only two Hindu MPs: Ashok Kumar, Labour MP for Middlesbrough South and Cleveland East, and Shailesh Vara, Conservative MP for North West Cambridgeshire.
Ten young people will go to the offices of MPs for a minimum of two days each month for six months. The young people will also attend bimonthly seminars, and organise a national conference for 500 students.
