Multiculturalism: Forum to tackle extremist threat

The issue was raised at a meeting last week between the Met, the Hindu Forum of Britain, Hindu youth organisations, and the Commission on Integration and Cohesion.

Ramesh Kallidai, general secretary of the Hindu Forum of Britain, said he has heard reports of Islamic radicals targeting Hindu and Sikh young women and encouraging Muslim young men to attempt to convert people.

The Hindu Safety Forum will include young people from Hindu youth organisations and police, and will meet quarterly.
