The web site, being constructed by the newly formed National Foundation for Muslim Youth Work (YPN, 13-19 September, p3), will also provide a space for youth workers to exchange perspectives on Muslim youth work, as well as a forum for Muslim young people. It will go live next year.
The project is among the recommendations in Towards a National Strategy for Muslim Youth Work, the report arising from two national conferences organised by University of Birmingham lecturer Muhammad Khan over the past year.
The new charity, based at The National Youth Agency in Leicester, is developing a strategy based on the recommendations.
