The NYA is hosting the Muslim Youth Work Foundation, a national organisation developed specifically for the purpose of creating safe spaces for Muslim young people to explore personal, social, spiritual and political choices.
Project workers at the foundation, based in Leicester, are Sadaf Ali and Tasneem Mahmood. Mahmood said: "It is particularly difficult in the current climate for Muslim young people and those that work with young people to have a voice, and therefore an aim of the foundation is to support and give value to these voices by continuing a conversation begun at the two conferences between policymakers and young people and youth workers."
